1 oct 2013 | Under Information | Posted by

Recognising the need to improve treatment and prevention of childhood TB, the Roadmap for Childhood TB has been launched in Washington DC. The roadmap draws attention to the challenges of addressing childhood TB: 74,000 children are estimated to have died of TB in 2012, with just over a half a million new cases affecting children worldwide. The Roadmap was launched by a wide coalition of partners, including WHO, the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), the Stop TB Partnership, UNICEF, USAID, CDC and the Treatment Action Group (TAG).
