A new approach to consultations and advocacy support
In today’s complex world, being clear about what one wants to achieve is often surprisingly overlooked. A simple definition of your goal – where you want to get to – backed up by a clear strategy and an understanding of context are the hallmarks of success.
TESS Development Advisors helps clients articulate those goals, and frame them in the relation to wider policy contexts. TESS works on the principle of a « win-win » approach to development initiatives. When different parties work together to define and agree the goals, solutions become sustainable and real change is possible.
We look at things with a different approach, understanding the perspective of partners across cultural and professional boundaries. We help you frame your strategy through a new lens.
With over 20 years work supporting policy change and advocacy initiatives, TESS understands the importance of defining a goal and refining the path to reach it. Often, this is as simple as identifying and addressing the missing links. We can help you make those links.
What can our clients expect?

Recognising the progress made with respect to the EAC and to generic medicines, with the support of WHO and NEPAD, the World Bank is exploring similar initiatives in the SADC and ECOWAS regions with a particular focus on harmonisation of vaccine review and approval processes.
The overall objective is to facilitate timely registration of new vaccines in these countries so that they may be made available earlier to vulnerable populations. As part of this process, TESS has supported a consultation process vis-a-vis the SADC Regulatory Agencies.

Ensuring wide consultation prior to the full development or implementation of a strategy is critical to ensure buy-in and understanding of the strategy, especially where multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds or constituencies are involved.
We support clients through the partnership consultation process, assisting clients to focus the questions, facilitating stakeholder-input events and analysing feedback.
